The EQ Italian restaurant was constructed in the heart of Gungahlin with the shop front located directly adjacent the light rail. The construction works commenced in Jan 2023 with the completion scheduled in 10 weeks from commencement date. The branding & design was heavily modified from the initial design guidelines to suit the business’s marketing strategy and the restaurant’s target market. The design included a central point of sales counter with large display cabinets to highlight the speciality products from the restaurant. The restaurant’s unique fit out includes the likes feature tiled joinery and walls, custom bench seating and curved metal planter boxes installed at ceiling level along with a large amount of feature lighting and planting,. Due the location of the shop front, the large amount of lighting and contrasting light colours in feature walls and metal planters created a great presence of the restaurant to all traffic during and after construction.
