The V&T Residence is a high-end architectural home showcasing a modern contemporary design with a range of unique and complex features. The project includes six bedrooms with ensuites, double-height voids, a basement, swimming pool, spa and sauna, basketball court, and extensive architectural detailing throughout. ACT Homes managed the project from early design through to construction and handover, delivering a fully integrated service.
The design phase was completed over a five-month period, during which ACT Homes conducted detailed coordination, open communication, and buildability review to ensure all design elements were thoroughly considered and detailed correctly. A key project objective was to commence construction within six months of engagement, which was achieved through strategic planning and securing approval under a 1N application.
Construction was delivered over 14 months and involved a highly detailed façade incorporating multiple material types, including foam and render, hidden fixed FC, aluminium cladding, Corten cladding, brickwork, and natural stone. Given the complexity, significant focus was placed on resolving framing, façade, and roofing interfaces to ensure a watertight structure and seamless material transitions. To support quality outcomes, ACT Homes engaged an independent third-party consultant to undertake staged audits and defect inspections, ensuring a high standard of workmanship throughout.
The project also required procurement and coordination of numerous bespoke and imported materials, including natural stone, large-format tiles, custom lighting, and a feature pivot entry door, all managed end-to-end by ACT Homes. Key features of the home include a smart automated system, underfloor heating, custom joinery and stonework, a concrete pool and spa, imported finishes, bespoke lighting, a basketball court, feature walls, a 3.5m high pivot entry door, and refined door jamb and skirting detailing. Overall, the project was successfully delivered over a 19-month period, meeting several client objectives from design, programme, quality, and budget, ultimately resulting in a highly detailed and refined architectural outcome.
