EQ Italian Restaurant

The EQ Italian Restaurant, located in the heart of Gungahlin adjacent to the light rail corridor, was delivered by ACT Homes within a 10-week construction programme commencing January 2023. The project involved significant refinement of the original franchise design to better align with the client’s branding, budget requirements and target market.

The fitout was centred around a prominent point-of-sale counter with large display cabinets showcasing specialty products, forming a key feature of the customer experience. High-end architectural elements included feature tiled joinery and walls, custom bench seating, curved metal planter boxes suspended at ceiling level, and extensive feature lighting and planting throughout.

Given the highly visible shopfront location, the design leveraged strong lighting contrasts and material finishes to create a standout presence to both pedestrian and light rail traffic. The result is a vibrant and engaging hospitality space that enhances both brand identity and street appeal.
